& PRIVACY NOTICE

This Data Protection & Privacy Notice covers the Power Your Day Contest.

In line with the requirements of data privacy protection regulations of some countries, this Notice sets out who is responsible for collecting your data, what personal data is collected and how it is processed, the purposes and the legal basis for the processing, how long we hold the personal data, your rights, how to access the personal data and where to go for further information.

1. General

Panasonic Energy Europe NV, Brusselsesteenweg 502, 1731 Zellik, Belgium, with registration number 0414.688.361, provides a Power Your Day Contest (the “Contest”) for individuals, running from 15/04/2021 until 30/12/2021.

The Power Your Day Contest is provided only to individuals who reside in the following countries: Albania, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Republic of North Macedonia, Malta, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Slovak Republic, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, The Netherlands, Turkey, United Kingdom, Ukraine.

The Contest is administered by a third-party provider, BBC Ark bv, Koningin Astridlaan 185, 9000 Gent, Belgium.

Any further conditions for participation in the Contest can be found in the Contest Rules.

2. Who is responsible for the collection of your personal data?

Panasonic Energy Europe NV as an independent controller (referred to as “Panasonic”) is responsible for the collection of your personal data. Further information can be obtained - see Section 6 below.

3. What is our purpose and legal basis for processing your personal data?

Panasonic will process your personal data (which are mentioned below) for the purpose of administering the Contest.

Your personal data will be processed on the basis of consent. Participants to the Contest will be informed about this processing and will be asked to actively tick a box (“I agree that my personal data will be used for administering this contest, in accordance with the applicable Privacy Policy”) before entering the Contest as required by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The processing involves only limited and necessary information. The personal data will be accessed only on a need-to-know basis.

4. What personal data is collected and how is this processed?

Personal data

From all participants the following personal data will be collected: nickname, first name, email address, IP address and country of residence.

From all winners of the contest, the following additional personal data will be collected: last name, address, telephone number, date of birth.

How are the personal data processed?

Your personal data will be stored in a database which is located on servers hosted and operated in Ireland by Panasonic Energy Europe NV and BCC Ark bv. BCC Ark bv has entered into contractual commitments with Panasonic to secure your personal data. BCC Ark bv is committed to maintaining stringent privacy and security practices.

Your personal data may be shared with third-party service providers (e.g. for sending emails), to the extent necessary for the purpose of administering the Contest. BCC Ark bv has entered into contractual commitments with these third parties to secure your personal data.

BCC Ark bv may share with Panasonic the following reports and information:

  • Overview of all submissions (all collected personal data of all participants)
  • All collected personal data of all winners
  • Analytical information about the website (Google Analytics statistics: n° of website visitors, sessions, devices, browsers…)

Your personal data will be kept as long as necessary to meet our legal, judicial or financial needs.

5. What are your rights under data protection legislation?

You may access your personal data and request corrections subject to the conditions and limitations set out in the applicable law.

If you are based in the EU/EEA, your rights under the General Data Protection regulation (“GDPR”) include the right to access your personal data and obtain a copy thereof, the right to request the correction or update of any inaccurate personal data and the right to object to or restrict the processing of your personal data under the conditions set out in the GDPR. You also have the right to request the erasure of your personal data under certain conditions. In addition, you also have the right to data portability in certain cases. This is the right to request the return of the personal data you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and to request its transmission to a third party, where technically feasible, without hindrance from us and subject to your own confidentiality obligations.

We will respond to your request without undue delay and no later than one month from receipt of any such request, unless a longer period is permitted under the applicable data protection laws.
